Austin Parker 42 Sedan – Blue Chiller
“Test the difference” – The Italian Austin Parker Yard is known for sleek profiles, high solid bows and contemporary architectural solutions for timeless motor yachts. A unique yacht design by Fulvio de Simoni that surely attracts attention when in port and at sea. The AP42 Sedan with its stainless-steel glass sliding doors in the cockpit stands out due to its Ce-class-A certification, normally known from larger motor or sailing yachts, allowing her to “forget about limits” and enter the open sea.
The electro-hydraulic stern doors provide the necessary safety while underway but enable one to join the teak deck area extending from the bathing platform and cockpit to the helm station in the interior. Once opened they unveil the electro-hydraulic gangway, nicely hidden below the teak-deck, that allows easy entry even when not at equal level with the pontoon. The electrically operated deck hatch in the cockpit leads to the large storage room, ideal for the boat’s tender, fitted with an air compressor unit. On the inner upper deck appropriate materials and fabrics have been used for the lounge and kitchen area to ensure low wear and tear whilst maintaining all necessary comfort. The materiality (Gelcoat) of the kitchenet to starboard creates an atmosphere of an outdoor kitchen and provides apart from the standard sink and ceramic hob a second fridge with freezer compartment and a coffee machine on a sliding unit so it can quickly and safely be stored in the cupboard after use.
The forward, sliding cockpit door separates the deck from the below deck area, where there is a cozy saloon with settee to port, a bathroom with electric head and separate shower compartment to starboard and the Master cabin centrally located in the bow. All rooms are fitted with a tv as well as air conditioning and due to the 4KvA-generator (Cummins, 277hrs) all 220V heavy consumers can also be used at sea, where the available inverter would also ensure usage of small consumers.
The ideal boat for those who appreciate “being different”.
