Princess S78 – Michain
Gyro stabilisation system (Seakeeper NG16) fitted – Enhanced comfort is provided not only by the extensive list of optional equipment, including Dometic air conditioning throughout all four guest cabins as well as the separate aft crew quarters, a watermaker with a production capacity of 190 L/h, twin Cummins Onan generators rated at 27 kW each, a third docking station in the aft area and the electro-hydraulic bathing platform and tender garage for the Williams 395 SportJet, but also by the fitted MAN Xenta manoeuvring joystick and additional wireless Yacht Controller. In combination with the hydraulically operated bow and stern thrusters, these systems make it possible to manoeuvre this almost 25-metre S78 with confidence and control, even in confined spaces.
Very well-maintained Princess S78 built in 2020 / Model Year 2021, one owner from new (private use), German-flagged, EU VAT paid and benefitting from a fully documented maintenance history. An optional rental berth in Porto Petro / Mallorca may also be taken over by the new owner.
This M/Y is powered by the larger twin MAN V12-1900 diesel engines, each developing 1,900 hp and driving conventional shafts, and is equipped with hydraulic bow and stern thrusters, each delivering 240 kgf of thrust. Together with the Xenta manoeuvring joystick, the third docking station in the aft area and the wireless Yacht Controller, manoeuvring becomes remarkably straightforward. The two 24-litre MAN V12 engines propel this 65-tonne yacht to an impressive maximum speed of 39 knots at 2,300 rpm.
“Michain” features natural teak decking throughout all exterior areas. The generously proportioned aft cockpit offers various seating and sunbathing areas as well as an electrically operated retractable sun awning, with direct access to the electro-hydraulic bathing platform and the 3.6-metre, three-stage telescopic passerelle, making boarding considerably easier, particularly in tidal waters. Beneath the two aft sunpads there is the tender garage with electric winch and launch/retrieval system, providing space for a tender of up to approximately 4 metres; the 2021 Williams 395 with Rotax 90 hp engine and music package is available separately. An electrically opening window between the galley and cockpit also creates a practical bar connection between the interior and exterior living areas. Across three levels, this S78 offers:
Below deck, four guest cabins accommodating up to eight guests, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The spacious full-beam Master Cabin is located amidships and benefits from its own private access from the saloon, while the three further guest cabins are located forward. On this S78, all four en-suite bathrooms additionally feature underfloor heating, while all cabins – including the crew cabin – are equipped with TVs as part of the Princess Premium Audio Package. Separate accommodation for two crew is located aft and includes its own bathroom, a compact galley area with refrigerator and microwave/grill combination, as well as direct access to the engine room.
On main deck level, entering from the aft cockpit, there is a bright and spacious saloon with large side windows, electrically operated blinds, an electrically raising 55-inch TV and an extensive Naim audio system. The aft galley, with the dining area opposite, can be separated from the saloon by means of an electrically operated sliding glass partition and, in addition to the usual galley appliances, is equipped with a Miele wine cooler and ice maker. The electrically opening window towards the cockpit creates a direct serving bar to the exterior when required. The centrally positioned lower helm station features a side access door as well as comprehensive Raymarine navigation equipment including 16-inch multifunction displays, 48-inch HD radar, autopilot and DSC VHF. Aft-facing and engine-room cameras with additional Axiom displays provide improved visibility when manoeuvring, while the electrically opening hard-top roof with glass inserts opens up the entire helm and saloon area to the sky when desired. Forward, the yacht offers a generously designed seating and sunbathing area, which can be shaded by a sun awning supported by four carbon-fibre poles. Side boarding gates provide particularly convenient access directly from the quay when moored alongside.
On the Sportbridge – designed as an open-air second helm and entertainment area – there is a further fully equipped helm station, which can be electrically lowered when not in use, together with numerous seating and sunbathing areas. The wet bar is fitted with a BBQ grill, top-loading refrigerator and sink, while the electro-hydraulic Bimini with integrated LED lighting provides extensive shade across the Sportbridge whenever required. The premium audio concept continues here as well; the fitted Princess Premium Audio Package combines Naim components throughout the interior with Bowers & Wilkins speakers, subwoofers and amplifiers in the exterior areas. From the Sportbridge, the impressive 360-degree panoramic views can be enjoyed to their fullest.
